How it works
Pelvic floor physiotherapy services are offered by Maggie out of the Wildewood Health clinic space. Bookings for this service can be made through Maggie’s independent pelvic floor booking portal.
Maggie is a Certified Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist, specifically trained to treat multiple conditions related to the pelvic floor, including diastasis recti, pelvic organ prolapse, stress and urinary incontinence, pelvic girdle pain, and core stabilization. Pelvic floor physiotherapy is also helpful with reducing symptoms related to endometriosis, and for pre and post-hysterectomy rehabilitation.

What is pelvic floor physiotherapy?
Pelvic floor physiotherapy is a specialized approach to improve pelvic health and overall well-being. The pelvic floor muscles are a group of muscles that attach to the front, back and sides of the pelvic bone and sacrum, and include some of your glute muscles as well. The pelvic floor sits in the middle of your hips and low back, therefore it is important for the function of multiple joints in the area.

Initial 1hr assessment and follow up treatments as recommended with Maggie helping you with any of your pelvic floor concerns including pregnancy, post partum, incontinence, menopause, prolapse, low back, hip, SIJ, or pelvic pain, hysterectomy, endometriosis, and much more.
Return to High Impact Activity for Postpartum Women
Screening assessment for any woman more than 3 months post-partum looking to return to high impact activities such as running, cross fit, soccer, etc. The assessment involves specific strength tests, internal pelvic floor muscle strength assessment (optional), aerobic/impact activities, and biomechanical assessments. This is very important for any post partum woman returning to these activities to reduce previous or future issues with pelvic floor dysfunction.Group Pre and Postpartum Fitness and Yoga Classes
Group fitness classes for women currently pregnant or >6weeks post partum targeted at pelvic floor, core, and lower body strengthening. Modifications are available for all levels of ability. Group yoga classes focus on mobility and lengthening of soft tissue in the pelvic floor and lower body which can help prepare for birth, reduce pain, and many other benefits. It also a great opportunity to be part of a community of new moms. Babies welcome!
1-1 Pre and Postpartum Gym Sessions
One-on-one 45 minute gym session with Maggie going over how to integrate your pelvic floor with strength training, and/or any specific goals you may have with strength training and fitness in a safe environment.
