Wildewood Health is currently seeking a kinesiologist to join the team in a part-time position, leading to full-time as the position grows.

Wildewood Health is Nanaimo’s leading active therapy clinic. Opening its doors last year, Wildewood Health offers private treatments rooms, a large gym space and brand-new equipment to suit whatever the needs of the client and practitioner. Wildewood Health only employs Kinesiologists and Athletic Therapists and leads both these fields in knowledge, experience and expertise. Currently, Wildewood Health works with many different populations including MVA injuries, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic/ musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, pediatric, strength and conditioning programs, sporting injuries, workplace injuries, nurses and general population.

Job Description

We are looking for a kinesiologist to join our team to work with many different populations. Their role will look like:

– Traveling to a senior’s home and providing active rehabilitation and fall prevention exercises.

– Traveling to various cities to work with special needs children and working with our pediatric team.

– Leading various strength and conditioning classes/ groups

– Practicing at the clinic working with clients in rehabilitation, prevention and strength and conditioning.

 

Your Qualities/ Values:

Candidate must be registered with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists and have at least 5 million general liability.

 

Your Education/ Experience/ Knowledge:

1. Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology or something similar.

2. In Good Standing BCAK + 5 million liability insurance

3. Experience working with the special need’s population/ seniors/ chronic pain/ rehabilitation/ strength and conditioning or a combination of them.

4. Able to work independently but also in a team environment.

5. Strong communication skill with your team and clients.

6. Creative to ensure programs and enjoyable AND effective.
